Mimi Wins Big At Third Annual Groovevolt Music Awards

Groovevolt.com, one of the Internet's leading music sites, announced the winners today for its Third Annual GV Music & Fashion Awards.

In what will come as a surprise to few, Mariah Carey dominated the third annual Groovevolt Music and Fashion Awards, taking home victories in all six categories in which she was nominated.

CareyÂ’s record haul includes honors for Album of the Year (The Emancipation of Mimi), Song of the Year (“We Belong TogetherÂ), Best Female Pop Album and Best Female Pop Song Performance.

"Mariah Carey has been honored with a number of awards already this year and her six GV Awards are a testament to her successful comeback," Groovevolt.com Editor-in-Chief Chauncy Jackson said. “CareyÂ’s fans are extremely loyal to her and she repays them for their devotion.Â

“Too many awards are judged by people in the music industry whose motives are politically oriented, Jackson said. “More than 700,000 votes were cast by fans who were interested in voting for their favorite music. Award winning artists like Carey, prove that listeners still believe in artistry by respecting their longevity."
