Mariah Carey has a very special fan - the new president of the United States.

Barack Obama's wife Michelle played the singer's 1993 hit Hero to him before the election results were announced.

And Obama is not Mariah's only famous fan. The diva's arrival in London yesterday to promote her album has caused quite a stir with the X Factor contestants.

Mariah will sing on the show this week, while the rivals will each have to cover one of her songs.
